The Polish Jazz Network, founded by Cezary Lerski in February 2000, is a coalition of musicians, professionals and jazz enthusiasts. We manage PolishJazz.com - world longest operating website devoted to Polish jazz.
Our mission is to promote the work of Polish jazz artists and jazz professionals, improvised music and jazz worldwide, and to serve as a vital link between the jazz fans and international jazz community.
Our site is the doorway to the world of improvised music from Poland and beyond. We offer the largest selection of material regarding Polish jazz on the Web.

FOUNDER, CHIEF EDITOR
Born in Poland and residing in the USA since the late 1980’s, Cezary Lerski is a California resident and COO of Diginet LLC, a US company offering specialized services for international clients with an emphasis on the Digital Distribution , E-Commerce, Accounting & Business Services.
In his spare time Cezary enjoys hiking, travel, gin and …Polish Jazz.

Marketing coordinator, digital content creator
Michalina Lerska is a senior at Wellesley College with a focus on digital production, journalism and digital marketing. From a multicultural background, she has a nuanced appreciation for art and storytelling.
With a business certificate from Harvard Business School Online, she is interested in the intersections of storytelling and digital distribution. At Polish Jazz, she oversees marketing plans, campaigns and events, social media and branding.

Adam Baruch is one of the world's leading authorities on Jazz and Rock Music. He is a writer, critic, historian, researcher, teacher, broadcaster, discographer, photographer, concert and festival organizer, record producer, label owner and a music activist.
PAWEL BRODOWSKI
CHIEF EDITOR AT JAZZ FORUM MAGAZINE
Paweł Brodowski is an editor-in-chief of the Jazz Forum magazine, since 1964 continuously running jazz magazine in Poland. He is a highly appreciated jazz critic valued in the international jazz community , and a contributor to annual polls of the prestigious magazine "Down Beat".
In the 1960s, he played bass guitar in bands Chochoły, Akwarele and collaborated with Polish art rock icon Czesław Niemen.
MACIEJ LEWENSTEIN
QUANTUM PHYSICS SCHOLAR & JAZZ CRITIC
Maciej Lewenstein is a Polish theoretical physicist, currently an ICREA professor at ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Castelldefels near Barcelona. He is an author of over 480 scientific articles and 2 books, and recipient of many international and national prizes.
In addition to quantum physics his other passion is music, and jazz in particular. His collection of compact discs and vinyl records includes over 9,000 items.

Maciej Nowotny is a founder of Polish-Jazz blog and its former chief editor and author.
He is also active as a journalist in the most significant jazz related media in Poland including Jazz Forum, JazzPress and Jazzarium.pl.
ANDRZEJ TYSZKO
PHOTOGRAPHER
Andrzej Tyszko started his professional activity in the early 1980s, by 1987, he had created over 80 album covers and many posters for the most outstanding musicians of the Polish scene. Jazz was his great passion, which was reflected in exceptionally beautiful and deep portraits of outstanding Polish and Norwegian musicians. In 1987-1990, commissioned by the Norwegian Jazz Association, he made portraits of the most famous Norwegian jazzmen.
After returning to Poland in 1990, he founded his own advertising photography studio - "Tyszko Fotografia" and very quickly became one of the most popular commercial photographers.
Regardless of his commercial activity, Andrzej Tyszko, throughout his artistic path, has continuously cultivated nude photography, in which he is most interested in pure form. With the help of the body, light and time, he creates innovative, very painterly, dramatic and poetic pictures.
The main subject of Andrzej photography, both in art and in advertising, are the people he shows in a very noble, yet bold and modern way. His recipe for a good portrait is to find a part of himself in the photographed person.
Thanks to his sensitivity and sharpened skill of insightful perception of people, the portraits made by him accurately reflect the essence of the photographed person.

Marek WIniarski is a jazz aficionado with a degree in metallurgical engineering and a founder and managing director at Not Two Records - one of the most significant and the most rapidly growing and exceedingly refined progressive avant-jazz labels.
Based in Kraków, Poland Not Two Records is best known for its avant garde releases, from more than 500 different artists.
A host of the most significant contemporary jazz players have grace the Not Two catalog; including North and South American musicians, leading Polish & European improvisers, and some of the most progressive Japanese avant-garde artists.

ANDREA CENTAZZO
MUSICIAN, COMPOSER, VIDEO ARTIST & DIRECTOR
Andrea Centazzo is an Italian-born American percussionist, composer, multimedia artist and ICTUS Records label founder. Since lat 1970’ he has been a leading figure on the European & American avant-garde scene.
He has created multiple multimedia projects that fuse acoustic instruments, electronic instruments, and video. He directed and staged his own operas as well as theatrical plays by other U.S. authors.
He has recorded over 60 albums, and has composed over 350 musical works of diverse types, in addition to writing eight musicology books.

MULTI--INSTRUMENTALIST, COMPOSER & SONGWRITER
Sen Morimoto was born in Kyoto, Japan and is currently based in Chicago.
Morimoto’s powerful grasp of jazz composition, Prince-like imagination, and hip-hop styling are fully articulated as the extraordinary sound of an unrivaled talent on Cannonball!, an LP that he wrote, arranged, and produced by himself.

Wojciech Staroniewicz is a Polish saxophonist, composer, and a leader of many jazz bands.
His music and extensive discography covers a wide spectrum of styles – from mainstream through the fusion of jazz and folk to electric jazz.
He is a founder and managing director at jazz label Allegro Records.
