A film essay on the life of the great artist Krzysztof Komeda - Trzciński, a doctor, jazz pianist and composer of film music. The documentary addresses Komeda’s attitudes towards social, political and cultural changes in the post-war period Poland, and the exodus of Polish artists in the 1950s and 1960s. The artist is remembered, among others, by Roman Polański, Tomasz Stańko, Jerzy Skolimowski, Andrzej Wajda, and his wife Zofia Komeda. The movie is includes archive materials and excerpts from the motion pictures with soundtracks composed by Komeda.
